The grandest of the Iowa casinos is the Meswaki Bingo Casino Hotel, a Native American gambling hall in Tama, with 127,669 sq.ft. of casino area, 1,500 slots, thirty table games, like chemin de fer, craps, roulette, and baccarat, and numerous varieties of poker; also three dining rooms, monthly productions, and gambling instructions. A further large American Indian gambling den is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 sq.ft., 668 one armed bandits, and 14 table games. In addition, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs is available 24 hours, with 38,500 square feet, 1,589 slots, 36 table games, and four restaurants. There are many other dominant Iowa casinos, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 square feet, 1,212 one armed bandits, and 39 table games.
A tinier Iowa gambling hall is the Diamond Jo, a river based gambling den in Dubuque, with 17,813 square feet, 776 slots, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend water based, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 square feet, 535 slots, and 14 table games. One more Iowa river boat gambling hall, The Isle of Capri, is open 24 hours, with 24,939 sq.ft., 1,100 one armed bandits, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 sq.ft. river based casino in Clinton, has 506 slot machines, 14 table games, live shows, and Thursday chemin de fer tournaments.
Iowa casinos offer an excellent deal of tax income to the state of Iowa, which has permitted the funding of many commonwealth wide activities. Vacationers have gotten bigger at a rapid rate accompanied with the request for services and a gain in employment.
