Salaries will vary by establishment and region. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) figures show that full time gaming managers got a median annual salary of $46,820 in 1999. The lowest 10 % earned less than $26,630, and the highest ten percent earned more than $96,610.

Gaming supervisors oversee gaming operations and employees in an assigned area. Circulating among the tables, they ensure that all stations and games are covered for each shift. It also is normal for supervisors to interpret the casino’s operating standards for players. Supervisors may also plan and organize activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

Gaming supervisors must have certain leadership qualities and A1 communication skills. They need these talents both to supervise staff accurately and to greet bettors in order to boost return visits. Nearly all casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor’s degree. Despite their educational background, however, many supervisors gain expertise in other betting occupations before moving into supervisory desks because an understanding of games and casino operations is quite essential for these workers.
