I have been wagering on the internet or at land based gambling halls for many years. I have been taught, the fixation is able to grab a hold of you and you won’t even notice it until you are broke. Notably if you are on a run. I have been through many tens of thousands of clams in only a little period of time and at times, I can go too far. It feels like you are only enjoying yourself until you make a decision to contemplate your squanderings and the anguish settles in, and of course you continue telling yourself "I am able to earn it back" ad infinitum. It doesn’t work. Then you get sick to your abdomen and the more you try the quicker you throw away.
When you discover that you are ahead, Remain Ahead! When you start to lose, do not inform yourself, "well only maybe one more" and again and again, trust me, this tactic barely ever works. Say you plan on gambling on slot machines, keep a number separate prior to beginning your wagering. DON’T exceed this restriction, no matter how tempting. If you happen to gain, put the winnings in an alternate pot. Do not bet your earnings no matter what. Once you have wagered through your initial set limit, stop. Depart, regardless if it is on the net or in a real life gambling den, do not stay at the tables or machines. Always keep in mind, there no doubt will be other days, another time. Obviously, this process can work for any casino game that you enjoy, be it bingo, poker, electronic poker, keno, vingt-et-un or any other game.
Remember, wagering should be FUN not burdensome, appalling work! If you aren’t having fun yourself, you do not belong there. If you cannot afford the losses, don’t ever begin.
